Dutch Oven Cooking

The Atago is the perfect Dutch Oven cooking station. The Dutch Ovens ft6 and ft9 fit precisely into the Atago and close on the upper edge, efficiently using the heat.

Baking & Pizza

For baking bread, pizza and cake top and bottom heat can be generated in the Atago.

This can be achieved by distributing the charcoal briquettes or by slipping the separately available Convection Lid over the Atago.

Grilling

The grilling grate provided is 34cm diameter for amazing steaks, fish or vegetarian grilled favourites.

Fire Pit

Apart from meal preparation the Atago is also a mobile fireplace.

Continuous oxygen supply keeps the fire burning for a long time.

Here is why the Atago is so Unique

The Atago consists of robust and heat-resistant stainless steel. It is a particularly durable cooker and fireplace. With one pull of the handle the unique folding mechanism transforms it from 14cm transport height into 28cm operating height.

Three bevelled support legs always provide a safe and non-slip stand also on uneven ground. Due to the sophisticated design the ground remains protected, and no residues are left behind after use. The Atago can be used on top of a wooden table. Using the air supply lever, the temperature can be continuously adjusted.

Petromax Cabix Plus are suitable for an efficient burning time and optimal heat development during cooking. These specically developed briquettes are strongly compressed and have a wavy surface structure for free air circulation around the charcoal briquette. Compared to conventional charcoal you need about 15- 20% less charcoal on average to reach the desired temperature.

One feature that you will particularly appreciate about the Atago is its low-smoke combustion. Especially when used as a fire bowl the almost smoke-free combustion will become apparent: rising smoke is led inside through the double wall and burned right there by the blazing flames. With this secondary combustion, the Atago becomes a low-smoke fireplace. Thanks to the high double wall the logs remain safely inside the fire bowl and the integrated dish catches ash.
