Inspired by the menu at Melissa Cookston's BBQ joint in Memphis, Tennessee we are hosting a pop-up eat and learn event at our HQ. When you arrive, you will be actively helping to cook smoked hot wings using the famous vortex method on the Weber Kettle.
After starters we will finish off some 3-2-1 baby back ribs by glazing them with Firefly Memphis Red BBQ Sauce and finishing them over cherry wood. Every ticket to the event includes a full 1kg of ribs for you to pig out on! We will also be cooking red beans and rice in a Dutch oven over open fire. There will be plenty of side salads, and fresh crusty bread.
For dessert our resident baker, Laura, will have prepared a classic Memphis Coconut Cake. A truly decadent taste of the American South.
We will serve a complimentary Barbacoa Rum or Low 'n' Sloe Gin for the non-drivers, and you are welcome to BYOB. There will be loads of soft drinks available. Everyone will take home recipes and instructions for all the dishes.
